Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Wezard's Azure DevOps integration

Wezard's Azure DevOps integration connects your feedback widget directly to your Azure Boards. When a tester submits a bug through the Wezard widget, it automatically creates an Azure DevOps work item — complete with screenshots, session metadata, browser info, and OS details — without any manual copy-paste from your QA team.
Once you connect your Azure DevOps organization via OAuth, every widget submission triggers a new work item in your selected project. Wezard maps submission fields (title, description, severity, area path, iteration) to Azure DevOps fields. You can configure the work item type, default assignee, and target project per widget.
Yes. Wezard's AI-powered duplicate detection scans existing Azure DevOps work items before creating a new one. Using semantic matching, it compares incoming reports against your backlog and flags potential duplicates with a match score. If a similar work item exists, Wezard links the new submission to it instead of cluttering your sprint board.
Each Azure DevOps work item includes: annotated screenshot or screen recording, browser type and version, operating system and device info, page URL at time of submission, console logs (optional), reproduction steps, severity tags, user identity (if SSO is configured), and a session replay link (if enabled).
Wezard integrates with Azure DevOps Services (cloud) for all process templates including Agile, Scrum, CMMI, and Basic. Support for Azure DevOps Server (on-premises) is available for enterprise customers — contact the Wezard team to discuss your environment.
Yes. You can define rules in your Wezard settings: bug reports → Bug, feature requests → User Story, general feedback → Task, test failures → Test Case. Wezard respects your process template, so the right fields are populated for each work item type.
Yes. You can configure different Wezard widgets to push work items to different Azure DevOps projects, area paths, or iterations — useful if you have separate boards for frontend, backend, mobile, or platform teams within the same organization.
Yes. You can pre-configure area paths, iteration paths, default assignees, and tags per widget. AI-detected severity and labels (like #checkout, #safari, P1) are passed through as Azure DevOps tags so your work items land in the right backlog with the right context — no triage required.
Yes. Wezard supports simultaneous integrations. You can connect Azure DevOps, Jira, and ServiceNow at the same time and route submissions to the right system based on widget configuration, team, environment, or submission type.
Setup takes under 5 minutes. Authenticate with your Microsoft account via OAuth, select your Azure DevOps organization and project, map your fields, and embed the Wezard widget. No developer or admin access is required for the initial setup beyond the OAuth approval.
Yes. Wezard uses OAuth 2.0 for authentication and never stores your Microsoft or Azure DevOps credentials. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.2+, and Wezard is SOC 2 Type II certified. Data is stored in EU or US regions based on your account settings.
